Wilson Amon
1857 – March 1, 1937
NILES – Wilson Amon, 80, a resident of Niles for almost his entire life, died at 10 o’clock Monday night in his home, 43 North Barrett Street. Mr. Amon had been ailing for the past six months.
Born in Pennsylvania, he moved to Niles at an early age. Until failing health forced his retirement several months ago he had been employed as a gardener.
He was an active member of the First Evangelical Church, and was proud of his record of having attended for 17 consecutive years without missing a Sunday.
Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Henry; and a daughter, Mrs. Josephine Wenzel, both of Niles
