NILES--Mrs. Hattie W. Schneider, 82, of 310 N. 13th St., died at 12:55 p.m. Friday in Pawating Hospital, after an illness of several weeks.
Mrs. Schneider was a retired employe of French Paper Mill, and was born Sept. 8, 1891, in Niles. She had lived in this area all her life. On Sept. 21, 1920, in Niles, she married Lute J. Schneider, who died in 1954.
Survivors include two brothers, John F. and Henry Williams, both of Niles; three sisters, Mrs. Louise Pohlman of Seymour, Ind., Mrs. Carrie Dawson of South Bend and Mrs. Freeda Whetstone of Berrien Springs.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Halbritter Funeral Home, with the Rev. Raymond C. Cunningham of the First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Silverbrook Cemetery.
Friends may call after 10 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
The family has requested that memorials be given to the Berrien County Cancer Service.
