Dies after month; illness
BERRIEN SPRINGS – April 30, Cyrus L. Dilley, 79, widely known Berrien Springs resident, died today at 8 a.m. in his residence at 201 North Bluff Street, after and illness of one month.
He was born in Trenton, NJ, Dec. 5, 1866, and came to Berrien Springs as a youth. He had owned and operated a garage here.
Hold Rites Thursday
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Myrtle Dilley; a stepdaughter, Mrs. O.B. Erickson, Gary, Ind. a step-granddaughter; six brothers, Cortland B. Sherman and B. F. Dilley, all of Berrien Springs, Harry Dilley , Avon Park, Fla., Fred Dilley Chicago and Jacob Dilley South Bend; and a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Selfridge, Benton Harbor.
Services will take place Thursday at 2:30 p.m. from the McLauchlin Funeral Home, with the Rev. Paul Robison of the Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery, Niles. Friends may call at the funeral home.
