NILES--Funeral services for Mrs. Zenobia M. Smothermon, 81, of 2562 S. Third St., will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Halbritter Funeral Home. She died at 9:10 a.m. Saturday at Buchanan Community Hospital after an illness of several weeks.
Born Dec. 11, 1888 at Batesville, Ark., Mrs. Smothermon had lived in Niles since 1943. Her husband, Charles, died in 1954. She is survived by three sons, Marvin and Walter of Niles and William of Clarksville, Tex; a daughter, Mrs. Fred Evans of Orlando, Calif.; a brother John Lovell of Batesville, Ark., 18 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Raymond Cunningham, pastor of the First Baptist Church, will officiate at the services and burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.
