NILES--Frank J. Shefsick, 57, of 2545 Williams St., died at 0:34 a.m. today at Pawating Hospital after an extended illness. He was a retired employe of the Bendix Corp., South Bend.
Mr. Shefsick was born Feb. 9, 1919, at Maryville, Ill., and came to Niles in 1943 from South Bend. On Nov. 11, 1942, at South Bend, he married the former Phyllis Shepard, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Norman and Thomas of Niles; three sisters, Miss Beatrice Shefsick, and Mrs. Josephine Schmitz and Mrs. Sophie Blaskow, all of St. Louis, Mo, and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Halbritter Funeral Home. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. John D. Slowey, pastor of St. Mary's Catholic Church, will officiate and burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.
