Arnold C. Lauridsen, 66, of 1121 North Seventh street, died Saturday night at Pawating Hospital after an illness of two weeks.
Lauridsen was born in Manistee on Aug. 13, 1886. He lived in Niles since 1927, coming here from Grayling. A carpenter, Lauridsen was employed at Niles High School. His wife, Florence, died in 1943.
The dead man was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Carmen and St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church.
Surviving are one son, Arnold Jr., of Niles; one daughter, Mrs. Marian Walter of Niles; five grandchildren; a brother, Arthur, of Muskegon Heights; and two sisters, Mrs. R.E. McCurdy of Manistee and Mrs. Sidney Bodine of Bay City.
Friends may call at the Kiger Funeral Home, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Herbert Meussling officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.
