Emil Schinke, 1301 Leeper avenue, South Bend, died at his home at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday. He had been ill for a number of years.
Surviving are his wife, Harriett J. Schinke. He was born on Aug. 2, 1872, in Germany, and had lived around South Bend most of his life. He was a candy wholesaler by trade.
Friends may call at the Pifer Funeral Home, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, with the Rev. Theo. Eisen, retired pastor of St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church, officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.
