Dr. George I. Vetter, 64, a lifelong resident of Niles and a dentist here for 25 years, died at noon Sunday in Pawating hospital where he was admitted at 9:35 a.m. that morning. He had been ill for 18 years.
Private funeral services will be held from the Kiger funeral home Tuesday at 3 p.m., with the Rev. T.M. Greenhoe, pastor of the first Presbyterian church, officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook cemetery.
Survivors are: his mother, Mrs. Fred Vetter, of Niles; his wife, Kathryn, also of Niles; three sons, Thomas of Rochester, N.Y., John of Galesburg, and Alan at home; a sister, Mrs. Iva Weaver, of Niles; . .[illegible] . .
Dr. Vetter was born in Niles on March 29, 1888. He married Kath-
. . .[illegible] . .. 12, 1922. A graduate of the Niles . . [illegible] . .the University of Michigan in 1910, Dr. Vetter carried on a dental practice until illness forced him to retire in 1934.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian church, the Masonic lodge and the Psi Omega Dental fraternity.
