Charles E. Siebert, 81, of 1012 North Fifth Street, died at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday night at the home of his sister, Mrs. Anna Jantzen, 616 North Sixth street, after a one-month illness.

A lifelong resident of Niles, he was a retired New York Central Railroad conductor. He was born here Aug. 22, 1873.

He was a member of St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church, the BPO Elks Lodge and Switchmen's Union of North America.

Survivors are a stepson, Earl Bachman of Niles, one grandson, three great grandchildren; a brother, Frank Siebert, and sister, Mrs. Jantzen, both of Niles, seven nieces and two nephews.

Friends may call at the Kiger Funeral Home where the Rev. Herbert Meussling, pastor of St. John's Evangelical Reformed Church, will conduct services at 2 p.m. Saturday.  Burial will be at Silverbrook Cemetery.

Graveside services will be conducted by the Elks Lodge.
