Mrs. Emma W. Walters, 86, formerly of 521 Pokagon, Niles, died at 7:40 p.m. Wednesday at Berrien General Hospital following an extended illness.
She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ.
She was born on April 21, 1895 in Niles and had spent her lifetime here. She married George C. Walters on Feb. 10, 1916. He died in 1933.
Survivors include a son, Malcolm Walters of Niles; a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Mildred) Wozniak of Niles; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Halbritter Funeral home in Niles. The Rev. Robert L. Livingston of St. John's United Church of Christ will officiate. Burial wil be in Silverbrook Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the Halbritter Funeral Home.
The family suggests memorials may be made to St. John's United Church of Christ.
