Henry Weaver, 80, 3014 US-31 N., died at 3:50 p.m. Saturday in Pawating Hospital where he had been a patient since Feb. 17. He had been in failing health for the past five years.
Mrs. [sic] Weaver was born March 20, 1880, in Greenville, Ohio, and had lived in the Niles and Berrien Springs communities for 75 years. He was a retired farmer.
Surviving are: his widow, Effie; six daughters, Mrs. Guy Kizer, Mrs. Norman Burch, Mrs. Joseph E. Trowbridge and Mrs. Frank McLaughlin, all Niles, Mrs. Henry Morris, Berrien Center, and Mrs. Jack Griffendorf, Berrien Springs; two sons, Lelan Weaver, Niles, and Leonard Weaver, Dowagiac; a brother, Jesse Weaver, Niles; 30 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Kiger and Halbritter Funeral Home here with the Rev. Elton Mills, pastor of Berrien Center Community Church, officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery. Friends are being received at the funeral home.
