GRIM REAPER

DEATH ENTERS THREE HOMES IN THIS CITY

And Take the Oldest Member in Each Case

Monday's Sun.

MRS. F.A. GRIMES

Mrs. Grimes, the aged widow of the late Francis A. Grimes, died rather suddenly this morning at her late residence at the corner of Fifth and Oaks streets. She had arisen and dressed as usual and seemed to be about in her customary health, when without warning she was taken with a sinking spell and in a very few moments her eyes were closed in the sleep that knows no waking. Before the spark of life had gone out the dying woman roused sufficiently to say, "I am nearly home."  Mrs. Grimes would have been 82 years of age had she lived until next Thursday, the day appointed for the last rites of her mortal remains.  Her husband preceded her, his death occurring last month. Both of these aged people were invalids for many years.
