Long Illness Fatal to Mrs. John Gipner


Mrs. John Gipner, 74, died at her home 921 North Fifth street, at 5:15 o'clock Wednesday afternoon after a long illness.
The funeral will be held at the home at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon with Dr. G.W. Simon in charge. Burial will be in Silverbrook cemetery.
Mrs. Gipner was born in Niles on June 5, 1859, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Schmidt.  She has lived here all her life.  For many years, Mr. Gipner was local florist for the Michigan Central railway.  They were married in 1894.
The husband and a son, John, of Rochester, N.Y., survive, as does a sister, Mrs. John Diebolt, who lived north of Niles.
