Isaac and Martha Gray Video Text

This is the oldest marker in Silverbrook Cemetery.

Isaac Gray was born in Ireland in 1794. The Grays came to Niles in 1828 and operated a general store. Isaac also served as postmaster. He died in 1830 and was originally interred at the first city cemetery near the corner of 4th and Oak Streets. He was reinterred at Silverbrook after the cemetery opened.

Martha Gray was also born in Ireland in 1796. She died in Niles in 1858.
