William V. Hibiske, 68, resident of Howard township, Cass county, died today at 1:05 a.m. in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Earl Dick, Pokagon, after an illness of several months.
He was born in South Bend, April 5, 1878, and moved to Howard township 26 years ago. He was a stock buyer.
Survivors besides Mrs. Dick are: one sister, Mrs. Josephine Michalski, South Bend; two brothers, Joseph Hibiske, rural route four; and Edward Hibiske, South Bend, and two grandchildren, Carole and Lois Dick, Pokagon.
Funeral will take place Friday at 4 p.m. from the Kiger funeral home with the Rev. Clarence Graham of the First Baptist church, officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
Willard E. Hann

Willard E. Hann, 53, River Bluff, rural route three, died Sunday at 10:50 a.m., in Pawating hospital, from a self-inflicted bullet wound, state police said today. He was an electrician for the Michigan Central railroad.
Police were called to the Hann residence Sunday at 3:10 a.m. when Hann's son, James Hann, found his father lying on the ground near a barn approximately 50 feet east of the house.
Uses .38 Revolver
Hann shot himself with a .38 caliber revolver, police said, the bullet entertaining his skull just above his right ear. He was taken to Pawating hospital in a Pifer ambulance.
According to police, Hann left his bedroom, went through the kitchen and into the yard. Mrs. Hann called her husband, and when she received no reply, awakened their son, who began a search for Hann.
Police said he was despondent, and that he had threatened to commit suicide on previous occasions.
He was born in Everett, Pa., Dec. 29, 1892, and came to Niles 25 years ago, from Michigan City, Ind.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bessie Hann; four sons, Joseph, Donald, James and Willard E. Hann, Jr., all of Niles; two brothers, Harry Hann, Lewistown, Pa., and Ealy Hann, Everett, Pa.; two sisters, Mrs. Stella Barton, Everett, Pa.; and Mrs. Anna Smith, Bedford, Pa. and two grandchildren.
Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Kiger funeral home, with burial in Silverbrook cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home until time for the services.
Clementina Hames

Clementina Hames, 78, of Market Street, Niles died at 10:43 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2007, at her home, following an illness.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at Halbritters Funeral Home, Niles, with Father David Otto of Saint Marys Catholic Church, Niles, officiating.
Burial will be at Silverbrook Cemetery, Niles.
She was born on Jan. 18, 1929, in Niles, to Raffaele Pullano and Rose Chime and had lived in Niles all of her life, in the same home for 60 years.
She had been employed for many years a Krajci Drugs and had previously been employed at Veni's Sweet Shop and Dean's Drug Store.
Hames was a member of Saint Marys Catholic Church, Niles. She bowled on area leagues and enjoyed playing cards and pool at home.
On February 18, 1956, in Niles, she married Robert F. Hames, Jr. who survives.
Additional surviving family includes a son, Robert F. (Deb Johnson) Hames, 111 of Niles; a daughter, Denise Hames Horak of Alto; grandchildren, Elyse Horak and Ian Horak and a sister, Rosemary Ball of Niles.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Sam Pullano and Ralph Pullano.
Memorials may be made to Hospice at Home.
