The next monthly meeting of the Friends of Silverbrook Cemetery will be at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 17th at the Law Enforcement Complex at 1600 Silverbrook Ave. in Niles.
De Beaumont, Regent of the Rebecca Dewey Chapter of the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) will be the speaker. DAR is the largest women's service organization in the United States and supports a wide variety of educational, historical, and patriotic projects. She will be talking about the work of the DAR both nationally and locally, about membership criteria, and about the assistance available from DAR and its members in family research for potential members.
The meeting is open to the public and there is never a charge to attend one of the meetings of the Friends of Silverbrook.
