Clara Smith Dies at Pawating Hospital
Clara Smith, 71, 717 Hickory street, died at the Pawating hospital at 12:10 o'clock Thursday afternoon. Miss Smith had been ill for several months and entered the hospital on April 17. The exact cause of her death is unknown.
Although her home is on Hickory street, Miss Smith had been living at the Powell hotel before being removed to the hospital. No immediate relatives survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Price and Kiger funeral home with the Rev. G.W. Simon, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, officiating. Interment will be held in the Silverbrook cemetery. Friends of the deceased may view the body at the funeral home.
