Mrs. Elizabeth Gitchell, 94, of 215 Parkway, a lifelong Niles resident, died at 5 p.m. yesterday at Pawating hospital after an illness of four months.
She was born here Dec. 19, 1855, and married David Gitchell here on Nov. 18, 1885. He died Feb. 20, 1924. Mrs. Gitchell was a member of the Maccabees.
Surviving are two daughters, Miss Hilda Gitchell and Mrs. Charles H. Shockley, both of Niles, and two sisters, Mrs. David Reid and Miss Adelaide Deutsch, both of Niles.
Services will be held at 2 p.m Friday at the Kiger funeral home, with the Rev. Percy Jones officiating. Burial will be at Silverbrook cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
