The Friends of Silverbrook Cemetery meet the third Thursday each month at 7 p.m. at the Niles Law Enforcement Center, located at Main St and Silverbrook Ave.

In addition to discussing progress made with our restoration and education projects, we feature a Guest Speaker. Past speakers have given talks about the history of Niles, gravestone restoration, and biographies of leading citizens. Many of our members also have interests in genealogy and local history. Members, nonmembers, and guests are always welcome to attend at no cost.

August 2015 Monthly Meeting

The Friends of Silverbrook Cemetery will meet on Thursday, August 20 at 7 p.m. at the Law Enforcement Complex, 1600 Silverbrook Ave. in Niles. 

 As always, the public is welcome and there is no fee to attend.

July 2015 Monthly Meeting Canceled

The Friends of Silverbrook Cemetery will NOT meet on Thursday, July 16 at 7 p.m. at the Law Enforcement Complex, 1600 Silverbrook Ave. in Niles.  

 

The meeting this month is canceled due to many of our members on vacation this week.  See you next month!

2015 Annual Meeting, Thursday, April 16

The Friends of Silverbrook will host an Open House on Thursday, April 16th from 6-8 p.m. at the Law Enforcement Complex, Niles.
 
Our Guest Speaker will be Robert Myers, Curator, History Center at Courthouse Square, Berrien Springs.  He will tell us about Senator William Alden Smith, a Dowagiac native who headed the US inquiry into the sinking of the RMS Titanic.
