SERVICE FOR MRS. HARDER

Mrs. Adeline Harder, who died Saturday, was buried this afternoon in Silverbrook cemetery after services at 2:30 in the Pifer funeral home. Mrs. Harder was the oldest member of the First Presbyterian church in Niles. She was the widow of John Harder and widely known in the Barron lake district.

Lillie Hursh Harrington
March 8, 1876-Feb. 15, 1958

Mrs. Lillie Hursh Harrington, 81, resident of the Niles community since she was three years old, died at 1 p.m. Saturday in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Richard Stoll, . . .[illegible].

Mrs. Harrington was born March 8, 1876, in Pennsylvania and was married Sept. 12, 1894, to Frank A. Harrington, who died on Dec. 30, 1956.  She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Ill-a-he Til-a-Kum Club.

Surviving besides her daughter are: a son, Beryl Harrington, of Niles; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.  A son, Almer Harrington, preceded her in death in 1923.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the First Presbyterian Church with the pastor,  the Rev. John MacLachlan, officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery. Friends may call at the Kiger-Halbritter Funeral Home here.

John W. Hathaway

SOUTH BEND—John W. Hathaway, 67, of South Bend, a former Niles resident, died at 7 a.m. today at his home after an extended illness.

A member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, he was a retired employe of the University of Notre Dame.

He was born Oct. 15, 1908 in Detroit and had lived in South Bend since 1958, coming from Niles.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Halbritter Funeral Home with the Rev. W.L. Daniel of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church officiating.  Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.

Friends may call from  7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Albert C. Hill
Jan. 30, 1899-March 21, 1976

NILES-- Albert C. Hill, 77, 2714 West St., died at 9 a.m. Sunday at Pawating Hospital after an extended illness.

He was a retired foreman of the Oliver Corp. and a member of Fulkerson Park Baptist Church.

He was born Jan. 30, 1899 in Keeler, Mich., and had lived here since 1925, coming from Dowagiac.

On Aug. 11, 1927 at South Bend, he married the former Elizabeth Wechnerowski who survives.

Also surviving is a son, Dale Hill of Niles; three daughters, Mrs. Norma Krisher, Mrs. Joan Weaver and Mrs. Pat Sallee, all of Niles, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services for Mr. Hill will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Halbritter Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Whiteford, pastor of Fulkerson Park Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Silverbrook Cemetery. Friends may call after noon on Tuesday at the Halbritter Funeral Home.

James H. Robbins
Oct. 23, 1900-March 21, 1976

NILES—James H. Robbins, 75, 1348 Sheffield Ave., died at 8:33 a.m. Sunday at Pawating Hospital after an extended illness.

He was a 27-year veteran of the city fire department, retiring in 1958.

Mr. Robbins was born Oct. 23, 1900 in Otia, Mich., and had lived in Niles since 1915, coming from Solon Springs, Wis.

He is survived by his wife Vera M. Robbins; two daughters, Mrs. Johnie (Marjorie) Rodebush and Mrs. William (Barbara) Ortmann, both of Niles; a brother, Charlie Robbins, also of Niles; six sisters, Mrs. Alta Hahn, Mrs. Edna Siderits, Mrs. Frances Newman, Mrs. Vivian Ferris and Mrs. Minnie Wiggins, all of Niles, and Mrs. Alice Farrell, of Albuquerque, N.M. , five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. 

Services for Mrs.[sic] Robbins will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Halbritter Funeral Home, with the  Rev. Paul Ferry of the Church of God officiating.  Burial will follow in Silverbrook Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m.  Tuesday at the Halbritter Funeral Home.

Acting Fire Chief Capt. Marlon Fuller has announced that the flag at he fire house has been lowered to Half-mast in memory of Mr. Robbins.

Floyd L. Williams
May 3, 1904-March 14, 1976

NILES-- Floyd L. Williams, 71, of Cassopolis, died at 2:45 p.m.  Sunday at Lee Memorial Hospital, Dowagiac, following a sudden heart attack. He was a retired mechanic for Diamond Lake Marina.

Mr. Williams was born May 3, 1904, in Niles and lived in this area all his life. His wife, the former Mary Jones, whom he married Oct. 7, 1922, at St. Joseph, survives.

Also surviving are a son, Robert of Tampa, Fla.; three daughters, Mrs. Billy (Clara) Worvey of Niles, Mrs. Richard (Vivian) Kenyon of Tampa and Mrs. Donald (Pat) Matthews of Cassopolis; two brothers, Orville of Niles and Thomas of Camden, N.J.; a sister, Mrs. Melivin brown of Colorado Springs, Colo., 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Pifer Chapel of the Swem-Smith funeral Home. The Rev. Donald Cozaad, pastor of Grace Methodist Church, will officiate and burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral chapel after 7 p.m. today.
