Thomas J. Sanders, 1028 North Thirteenth street, died at 9:30 p.m. Saturday in his home. He had been ill for two months.

Surviving are his wife, Naomi; two daughters, Mrs. Don McConnell, and Mrs. Simeon Belknap, both of Niles; three grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Julius Puthoff and Mrs. Sadie Trobaugh, both of Niles; one brother, Robert Allen Sanders, Mattoon, Ill., and one half-brother, John Decker, Sanford, Ind.

Sanders was born on Dec. 3, 1883, in Dundas, Ill., and came here from Charleston, Ill., in February of 1924. He was a retired car inspector for the New York Central Railroad Company. Sanders belonged to the Pioneer Club and to Carmen of America.

Friends may call at the Pifer Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday by the Rev. Vern Barr, pastor of the First Church of Christ. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.

All members of the New Century Rebekah Lodge, Royal Neighbors of America and the Woman's Benefit Association are requested to meet at 1:45 p.m Tuesday at the funeral home to attend the irtes[sic].
