Eileen N. Doudt, 69, 1219 Rose Drive, Niles, died at 4:23 p.m. Saturday in Pawating Hospital following an extended illness.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church where she was active in the choir and Morning Circle.  She was also a member of the Cosmopolitan Club and a 1937 graduate of Elkhart, Ind. High School.

A former clerical employee for the Chicago Telephone, Elkhart, Ind., she was born Feb. 11, 1918 in Kendallville, Ind. She moved to Niles in 1957 coming from Garver Lake. She was married Dec. 5, 1957 in Eklhart[sic] to Max Doudt who survives.

Other surviving relatives include: a stepdaughter, Shirley Crissy, Jackson; a brother, Fred Croninger, Elkhart; and two grandchildren.

Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Halbritter Funeral Home, Niles, the Rev. Clayton D. Fairo, First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Silverbrook Cemetery, Niles.  Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
