NILES--Danny D. Vanderboegh, 51, of 303 S. Barrett St., died at 1:45 a.m. today at Pawating Hospital following a brief illness.
Mr. Vanderboegh was born on Sept. 9, 1926 in Niles and returned to the city in 1973 coming from Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo. He was a retired master sergeant in the United States Army with 30 years of duty.
On July 21, 1949, in Germany, he married the former Rosa Wurzburter who survives. Also surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Vanderboegh, of Niles; two sons, Harold H., of Virginia Beach, Va., and Danny D., of MacDoel, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Dana Elrod, Niles; five brothers, Robert, Larry, David, Ronald and Phillip, all of Niles; two sisters, Mrs. Kay Noble and Mrs. Lynn Porter, both of Niles, and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m Monday at the Halbritter Funeral Home with the Msgr. John D. Slowey of St. Mary's Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday.
