Michael Lee Mace, 52, of Riverview Drive, Benton Harbor, and formerly of Niles, died on Saturday, June 11, 2005, at Lakeland Hospital, Saint Joseph, following a brief illness.

Arrangements are pending and being completed at Halbritter Funeral Home, Niles.

Funeral services for Michael L. Mace, 52, of Riverview Drive, Benton Harbor, are 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Halbritter Funeral Home, Niles, by Mr. Steve Inman, Lay Minister of First Presbyterian Church of Jeffersonville, Ind.

Visitation is one hour before services.

Mace died at 2:28 p.m. Saturday, June 11, at Lakeland Hospital, Saint Joseph, unexpectedly, but of natural causes.

Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

Former DUHS tennis coach dies

NILES - Former Dowagiac tennis coach Michael Mace died Saturday, June 11 at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph unexpectedly, but of natural causes.

Funeral services for Mace, 52, of Riverview Drive, Benton Harbor, were today, at Halbritter Funeral Home, Niles. Mr. Steve Inman, Lay Minister of First Presbyterian Church of Jeffersonville, Ind. officiated.

Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

Mace taught in Westville (Indiana) Public Schools and Dowagiac Union School District.

At Dowagiac he coached the varsity tennis team, and he served in Niles Community Schools as a substitute teacher.

He graduated from Niles High School, and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Ball State University, Muncie, Ind.
