Emma Betty Poelvoorde, 70, of 2147 S. Third St., Niles, was pronounced dead upon arrival at 5 p.m. Monday at Pawating Hospital following a lengthy illness.
A homemaker, she was born on Oct. 5, 1912 and had spent most of her lifetime in this area.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Betty Jean Benson-Tolland, Conn.; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Ethel Schock of Niles; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m . Wednesday at the Pifer-Smith Funeral Home in Niles.
Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.
The family suggests memorials may be made to the Berrien County Cancer Society.
