Harold Davis, 62, of South Bend, formerly of Niles, died at 8:10 a.m. Thursday, in the Berrien County Hospital, Berrien Center, following an extended period of poor health.

Mr. Davis was born Aug. 11, 1896, in Niles. Surviving are: his father, Henry A. Davis, of Niles; five daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Dronso, and Mrs. Helen Deja, both of Milwaukee, Wis., Mrs. Elma Brewer, of Bertrand, and Mrs. Shirley Grice and Mrs. Maraget Osborn, both of Dowagiac; six sons, Harold L. and Lyle Dvis[sic], both of South Bend, Marion and Charles Davis, both of Milwaukee, Wis., Kenneth Davis, of Bertrand, and Jack Davis, of Niles; 49 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. John Koons, of Niles.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Pifer Funeral Home with Dr. Maurice McKean, pastor of the First Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.
