NILES--Charles R. Dreibelbis, 67, of 1023 Howard St., died at 7 a.m. today in Pawating Hospital.

A retired railroad engineer with Penn Central Railroad, Mr. Dreibelbis was born July 10, 1902 in North Liberty, Ind., and had lived her since 1920, coming from his birth place.  He married the former Elsie Beringer, who survives, on April 26, 1923, in South Bend.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Dreibelbis is survived by a son, Charles R., Niles; a daughter, Mrs. Dale Kloko, Niles; two brothers, Dewey, Crumstown, Ind. and Max, Osceola, Ind.; a half-brother, Norman, North Liberty; two sisters, Mrs. Lambert Mattys, Osceola and Mrs. John Springman, Lakeville, Ind.; three half-sisters, Mrs. Morris Searfoss, Walkerton, Ind., Mrs. Eugene Lamphert, Mishawaka and Mrs. Harold Bell, Walkerton, Ind.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday in the Pifer Funeral Home with the minister Robert Mallett, formerly of the St. Joseph Michigan First Church of Christ, officiating.  Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.
