Charles A. Steinbauer, 82, of 444 S. St. Joseph Ave., Niles, died suddenly at 4 p.m. Saturday , Dec. 8, at his winter home in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Born March 25, 1902, in Niles, Steinbauer was a lifetime resident of the area.  He as a retired Tool and Die maker with the National Standard Company and was married to Marjorie A. Steinbauer, who survives.  Also surviving are three sons: Carl F. of Scottsdale, Ariz., David L. of  Niles, and Edwin J. of Maderia Beach, Fl. along with five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, Dec. 13 at 2 p.m., at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Niles.  The Reverend Lloyd Phillips will officiate. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Bobbitt Funeral Chapel in St. Petersburg. The body will be cremated with the remains to be placed at Silverbrook Cemetery.
