MRS. JOHN M. YOUNG IS STRICKEN AT HER HOME

Passes Away At 26 N. State Street After Long Illness

 

Mrs. Minnie Young, wife of John M. Young, 26 N. State street, died at 5 o'clock this morning, at their home. Mrs. Young suffered a third and ocmplete[sic] stroke of paralysis on Friday evening and she did not regain consciousness. Mrs. Young had spent practically her entire life in Niles and was well known to many although for about three years she had practically been an invalid, an invalidism patiently borne.

Mrs. Young's maiden name was Minnie Hartman, a daughter of Eli and Clara Hartman. She was born in Cass county near Three Rivers on July 7, 1874. She was married in Niles to  Mr. Young on May 4, 1893.  Of the two children born to them one survives, Mrs. Gladys Unruh, at home.  The other child died at the age of eight years.  Besides her husband and daughter, Mrs. Young is survived by two brothers who are Sol Hartman and William Hartman, both of Cass county.

The funeral services will be held in the home on Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Rev. John Schurman, pastor of the Evangelical church, will officiate.  Burial will take place in Silver Brook cemetery.
