MISS CHIPMAN'S DEATH IS DEEPLY MOURNED BY MANY

Miss Laura Chipman, a daughter of one of the old families of Niles, passed away at her home on Friday, following a short illness.  She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T.N.[sic] Chipman and one of Niles most beloved women, possessing a character that few attain, her whole life being dedicated to the service and devotion of others.
For over 30 years, Miss Chipman was a most efficient teacher in our public schools.  She was also librarian of the ladies' library for a long period.  All her life she was a faithful and devoted member of the Episcopal church.
Those who knew her feel keenly the loss of such a noble woman.
The funeral services will be held at Trinity church on Monday morning at 10:30 o'clock.
